Jacob M. Huffer, one of the best known farmers in Burkittsville District, Frederick County, Md., owner of a beautiful farm near Burkittsville. Md., son of Joseph L, and Catherine (Mullendore) Huffer, was born on a farm adjoining his present home, just over the line in Middletown District, now owned by Hiram Remsburg, August 8, 1836.
